Katrina Freene

www.definitestyle.com/designers/katrinafreene/index.php

Katrina's work is a confluence of the two great loves in her life, jewellery and vintage treasure. Pieces are handmade, one of a kind and friends with the earth.

For Katrina, jewellery is history, it is complex and emotional, and speaks of a strong need to say something of ourselves. Katrina draws inspiration in childhood memories with the simplicity and wonderment of a world imagined through the eyes of a little girl. Her search for understanding manifests in the sheer joy Katrina finds in the constant quest for vintage treasure. Red stemmed sherry glasses like Nanna had, flying ducks on the wall, playing dress ups, climbing the wattle tree. To draw attention to familiar and discarded objects is to capture a piece of it forever, a piece of Katrina Freene forever.

House Shoes
www.houseshoes.com.au

Fusing the functional simplicity of Scandinavian design and the understated Japanese ascetic, House Shoes are a product that symbolises the discarding of worldly cares as the mind and spirit is recharged.

The shoes are designed and produced in Australia from locally manufactured materials. The uppers are a double layer of super stretch cotton that moulds to shape of the feet, wrapping them in comfort. The House Shoes are also great travellers – providing support and comfort for feet while in transit.

The soft foam soles are gentle on floors and furniture and are made from industrial waste that would otherwise end up in landfill. The shoes can be machine-washed, or hand washed for longer wear.

Fuzz Design Workshop
www.fuzzdesignworkshop.com.au

Fuzz's new range is a fascinating contrast between metal, the industrial and femininity. The vampish style of the collection teams well with leather shorts waistcoats and skirts that are becoming a prevailing trend for the season. The wearer can reflect a slightly tomboy look or step it up to a more stylish look by teaming them with tailored dresses and outfits.

The muse for this range is the woman who can take on anything – and that includes a passion for fashion that allows her to mix her looks – pretty with engineered, rebel with butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth.

Kristina Brenke Jewellery Design
www.kristinabrenke.com

"I do not entirely plan my jewellery before I make it. Often I design as I work, allowing the making process to define the design. My jewellery is sculptural yet must be easily worn, and I enjoy the restrictions this imposes upon me creatively.”

Kristina has researched and handled jewellery from various periods and cultures, yet would not say this to be her main influence: she finds inspiration in small details: the furl of a ruffle, a snatch of lace, a tribal carving or a painting in miniature.

Most significantly she is a collector: seed pods and sea shells; vintage glass beads and french ribbon. These finds might inspire an entire range. More simply, she likes to include them to diversify and individualise her work.

Re:vision

Re:vision jewellery was born from a desire to rework unwanted camera parts into objects of fashion.
from this original concept other pieces have developed using original images or other photographic
points of inspiration.

Re:vision is the product of designer Craig Arnold’s twin obsessions with photography and recycling.
Striving for an industrial unisex esthetic combined with a nerdy love of retro cameras and polaroids
has resulted in a jewellery range with a unique style and focus.

Ngeringa Wines

NGERINGA (pronounced NERINGA) is a small & new biodynamic vineyard and winery situated below the Mount Barker summit in the Adelaide Hills and is run by a Erinn and Janet Klein, a young dynamic couple passionate about producing high quality, elegant wines which represent the land from which they were produced.

Our approach to both the growing and the making of the wine is purposely traditional doing much in the vineyard by hand and being as least interventionist in the winemaking as possible. We are aiming to create wines of a traditional style with elegance and structure. Our minimalist approach favours hand harvest and small batch winemaking, only wild fermentation and the use of minimal new (French) oak. We hope the result is wine with vitality and integrity, genuinely expressing the fruit from which it was made.

Rebound Books

We love everything about old books.

In 2005 when we decided to rescue old and unloved books to create unique stationery in an environmentally responsible way, Rebound was born. We take something old (and likely to end up in landfill) and recreate it as something new and beautiful using 100% recycled paper. Now given a new life, the books can be filled with thoughts, sketches, shopping lists, ideas or photos of your own. Each Rebound Book is handmade, each cover is unique, each page is hand cut and each binding is closed by hand.

At Rebound we are constantly driven to improve the way we do things and minimise our impact on the planet. We use every part of the original book and whatever we can’t use we donate to local artists. All of our processes and machinery are manual and require no power or fuel other than old-fashioned elbow grease.

We hope you love our journals, sketchbooks, photo albums, diaries, pocket books, record cards and bookmarks as much as we love making them.
